Wujiang River is the largest river in Guizhou Province and a tributary on the right bank of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, also known as the Qianjiang River. It originates from Huayu Cave, Xianglu Mountain, Weining County, Guizhou Province, flows through the northern part of Guizhou and the southeastern part of Sichuan Province, and joins the Yangtze River in Fuling City, Sichuan Province. The main stream has a total length of 1037 kilometers and a drainage area of 87900 square kilometers. Above the confluence of the Liuchong River is the upstream, from the confluence to Sinan is the middle reaches, and below Sinan is the downstream. There are 15 major tributaries, including Liuchong River, Maotiao River, Qingshui River, Xiang River, Hongdu River, Furong River, and Tangyan River, with a natural drop of 2123.5 meters and an average annual flow rate of 1650 cubic meters per second. The average annual runoff depth within the basin is 600 millimeters, but it is unevenly distributed throughout the year. The flood season from May to September accounts for 80% of the annual runoff. The Wujiang River system is distributed in a feather like pattern, with a high terrain in the southwest and a low terrain in the northeast. Due to the large elevation difference and strong cutting, the natural landscape undergoes significant vertical changes. Known for its rapid flow, numerous beaches, and narrow valleys, it is known as the 'natural danger'.

The Wujiang Baili Gallery includes the section between Gongtan Ancient Town and Wanmu Township in Youyang County, the main stream of the Wujiang River, and the Youyang section of the Apeng River, a tributary of the Wujiang River that flows backwards from east to west, covering an area of 240 square kilometers. Including Wujiang Baili Gallery Canyon Scenic Area, Gongtan Ancient Town Scenic Area, Apengjiang Drifting Scenic Area, Qingquan Langqiao Scenic Area, Ma'ancheng Tourist Area, Wanmu Stone Forest Scenic Area, Sanjiaqian Stone Forest, Suspended Burial Tourist Area, and Changxigou Ecological Tourist Area. It is the essence of Wujiang River, known as "Wujiang Gallery". This passage "The mountains are like axes splitting, the water is like jade, the winding branches are circling, and the water birds are playing and flying", integrating strange mountains, strange rocks, clear water, stone forests, dangerous beaches, ancient towns, covered bridges, catwalks, and suspended tombs. It is a masterpiece of the Wujiang Gallery. Qing Dynasty poet Mei Ruoweng praised that the water in Zhongshan, Shu, should be ranked first.

Hand waving dance is an ancient traditional dance of the Tujia ethnic group, mainly passed down in the Youshui River basin at the border of Hubei, Hunan, and Chongqing. It is mainly passed down in Xiushan County and Youyang County of Chongqing, Laifeng of Enshi Autonomous Prefecture in Hubei, Longshan and Yongshun of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan, and has four sections.

There are two types of hand waving dance: big hand waving and small hand waving. Little waving, in Tujia language, it is called "Sevbax" or "Sevbaxbax". Big wave, known as Yevtixhhex in Tujia language. It combines dance art with sports and fitness, and is known as the "Oriental Disco".

The waving dance reflects the production and life of the Tujia people. Hunting dance portrays hunting activities and mimics animal movements.
